Stockton, Calif- The Pacific field hockey team and head coach Linda MacDonald announced the signing of Samantha Neverett on Wednesday, April 30th. The Massachusetts native joins the Tigers after a very esteemed high school career. Neverett was a four-year starter at Athol High School in Athol, Mass. where she totaled 25 goals and 17 assists in her four years on varsity.

Earning numerous awards over her career, Samantha was named Student Athlete of the Month on two occasions, once in 2006 and again in 2007. Her senior season in 2007 she was voted the MVP of her team, and was also named to the MSFHCA Best of 60 Team. Also in 2007, Neverett was named to the All-Western Massachusetts Second-Team for field hockey.

"Samantha is a tremendous athlete," said MacDonald. "She will bring some much needed speed to the team, and will be a great asset to our program."
