June 3, 2008
Orlando, Florida- Field Hockey standout Danielle Neault (San Diego, Calif.) represented Pacific at the the 2008 National Student-Athlete Development Conference from May 25-29 in Orlando, Florida. The NSADC, formerly known as the NCAA National Leadership Conference, provides NCAA student-athletes with the chance to discuss many different areas within the educational setting. Such topics addressed at the conference were leadership enhancement techniques, decision-making and problem solving skills, as well as communication between athletes, coaches, administrators, and faculty. The conference was broken up into two waves, May 25-27, and May 27-29. Each wave had the opportunity to host up to 233 student-athletes. Neault was selected by Pacific to attend the conference and represent Pacific amongst all the other schools nationwide. Neault is a well-respected student-athlete at Pacific, having served on numerous student boards, as well as serving as the president for the Pacific Student Athlete Counsel (PSAC) this past school year. "The NCAA National Leadership Conference was truly an incredible experience.
the conference helped me to capitalize on my strengths as a leader on campus
and in the community. It also enabled me to identify and work on my
weaknesses" said Neault, "in addition, I had the opportunity to meet many athletes and leaders from different institutions from around the world. I am excited for the year to begin so I can continue to be an agent of change."
