2005 (Junior):

In her first season playing for the Tigers, Betts saw action in 18 games, starting two contests. She got her first start for the Tigers against UC Riverside on October 6. A tireless forward in Pacific's attack, Catherine notched four points on two goals during her junior season. Betts made an immediate impact for the Tigers, scoring the first goal of the season, the game-winning goal in Pacific's 5-0 shutout of Portland State on August 26. Her second goal was the first of the game again, giving the Tigers their first conference win of the season as they went on to defeat Cal State Northridge, 2-1, on October 14.

Previous School (Oregon St.):

Before transferring to Pacific, Catherine spent two seasons at Oregon State. In two seasons, Betts saw action in 18 games for the Beavers as she was limited by a knee injury early in her career. During her time on the field she took four shots.

High School:

Catherine graduated from Piedmont High School in Piedmont, Calif., where she was a three sport letterwinner earning four letters in soccer, two in track and field and one in tennis. On the soccer field, Catherine was a four-time all-league selection and was named the team's offensive MVP in 2001 when she posted 18 goals and 17 assists. Off the field, Catherine served as a youth educator in 2002.

Club Team:

Betts played seven seasons for Bay Oaks where she was a part of the state championship team of 1999. In addition, Betts was a member of the Olympic Development Program for five seasons.

Personal:

Born in Berkeley, Calif., she is the daughter of Mike and Cheri Betts. Catherine has two siblings, Billy and Carolyn. She plans to graduate with a degree in sport sciences.
