High School: Abbey attended North Olmsted High School in North Olmsted, Ohio, where she was a four-time letterwinner in both track and soccer. On the track, Abbey was a three-time MVP, setting new school and conference records in the 4x200 relay and was named first team all conference in the 4x100 and 4x200 relays in 2003. During her four seasons with the Eagles in soccer, Abbey won two district championships while also reaching the regional semifinals twice. She was named to the All-South West Conference First Team in her final two seasons after being named to the second team in 2002 and an honorable mention in 2001. Club Team: Golden has been a member of the Ohio Premier soccer club while also participating in the Ohio North State ODP team since 1999. Personal: Born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 6, 1986, she is the daughter of Bernie and Kathy Golden. Abbey has three siblings, Nikki, Ryan and Jenna. She plans to graduate with a degree in Journalism. |
