2003: In her role as primarily a defender on the wing, Colby added speed and tenacity to the Tiger defense as the first sub into the backfield for Pacific. Colby was one of just six Tigers to play in all 18 games during the season, giving the team a stable presence when called upon. During her 18 games, Valentine tallied two shots from her defensive post. Off the field, Colby was recognized for her work in the classroom as she was named to the Academic All-Big West Conference Team for the first time in her career. 2002: Colby sat out the entire 2002 season due to injury. 2001: Valentine started three of her 15 games for the Tigers during her freshman season. During her time, she tallied five shots on goal. High School: Colby attended Beyer High School in Modesto, Calif., where she excelled in track, cross country and soccer. She earned all-conference first team honors while leading Beyer to its third consecutive Central California Conference title. Club Team: She has been a member of the Ajax club program and the SJSFC Soccer Club team that was an U-18 State Cup Runner-up in 1999 and advanced to the Western Regional semifinals. Personal: Born in Modesto, Calif. on March 14, 1983, she is the daughter of Bruce and Grace Valentine. Colby has three older siblings, Katie, Carly and Robbie. She plans to graduate with a degree in sociology with an emphasis in criminal justice. |
