2006 (Senior): In her fifth and final season, Kristen enjoyed a breakout season that culminated with a selection to the All-Big West Conference First Team. On the season she hit.268 with seven doubles, five home runs and a team-leading 32 runs batted in, which ranked sixth in the conference. For her career, Allen has posted a .266 batting average and ranks in the top-10 in program history in home runs with 10, which ties her for eighth, walks with 72, placing her in seventh place and runs batted in with 84, which places her tenth on the all-time list. In addition to hitting, Kristen established herself in the circle posting a 4-4 record, but more importantly posting four saves in relief. Her four saves ranked 13th in the nation among all Division I pitchers while also ranking as the second highest single season total and third highest career total in program history. Allen earned her first Big West Player of the Week award of her career on Feb. 27 as she led the Tigers to a 4-1 record at the Palm Springs Classic. During the tournament, Kristen recorded a .462 (6-for-13) batting average and a 1.000 slugging percentage while driving in eight RBIs, scoring three runs and pounding out two homeruns and a double. In addition to her offensive performance, Allen appeared twice in the circle for the Tigers, both in relief stints, where she recorded her first career save in Pacific's 2-0 shutout of Kansas in the tournament's finale. 2005 (Junior): Struggling with injury for much of the season, Allen was limited to just 18 games of action in 2005. Showing her versatility, Kristen appeared in the circle for Pacific in 13 contests while also spending time as the team's designated player. Allen's best outing of the season came against future Big West opponent, UC Davis, on April 21, as she pitched the Tigers to a 6-2 win while giving up no earned runs and just three Aggie hits. She finished the season in the circle with a 3-3 overall record and a 5.73 ERA in 40.1 innings pitched. 2004 (Sophomore): Allen saw time in the circle and as a corner infielder during her sophomore season. She competed in 58 of Pacific's 59 games, including 56 starts, and made 13 appearances (two starts) in the circle. At the plate, Kristen recorded a .257 batting average in 152 at bats, with eight doubles, two home runs, and 26 RBI. She started the season with base hits in each of her first five at bats and belted her first home run of the year in the second game of a non-conference doubleheader at Santa Clara on Mar. 31. Allen made her first appearance of the season in the circle against No. 10 Stanford on Feb. 14, pitching 5.1 scoreless innings with just five hits. She allowed no earned runs in five of her first six pitching appearances of the season. Kristen finished the year with a 1-3 record and a 3.18 ERA in 39.2 innings. 2003 (Freshman): Allen started each of Pacific's 58 games as a redshirt freshman and received All-Big West Conference Honorable Mention recognition. She hit .290 with seven doubles, two home runs, three stolen bases, and 23 RBI in 162 at bats. Kristen recorded a nine-game hitting streak from Feb. 4-17, and had three multi-hit games during that streak. She went 4-for-4 with a double and three RBI as the Tigers earned a 7-0 victory over Hofstra at the USF Speedline Invitational on Mar. 8. Allen saw time in the circle for the first time in her intercollegiate career, appearing in eight games and posting a 2-0 record with a 1.27 ERA. She didn't allow a run until her final appearance of the season. 2002 (Medical Redshirt): Allen was awarded a medical redshirt in 2002 after competing in just three games before missing the remainder of the season due to injury. She collected two hits in seven at bats, including a solo home run against No. 5 California in her first career intercollegiate game. High School: Allen attended Casa Roble High School in Citrus Heights, where she was a four-time letterwinner in softball. Allen was named to the Sacramento Bee All-City Softball First Team all four years of high school, as well as the Capital Athletic League First Team each of her four years. She was named to the Cal-Hi All-State Softball Team all four years and was named the 2000 and 2001 Capital Athletic League Pitcher of the Year. She helped lead Casa Roble HS to a C.I.F. section title in 1998 and 1999. Allen was named the Most Valuable Player of the Capital Athletic League in 2000 and 2001. Personal: Kristen Allen is the daughter of Dixon and Lindee Allen. She is working on her masters of education after graduating with her bachelors degree in May of 2005.
