2006 (Junior): Taking over the starting shortstop position in her third season of work, Hagen quickly established herself as one of the top defensive shortstops in the country. The lone Tiger to start all 51 games at the same position throughout the season for Pacific, Hagen's season culminated in a selection to the All-Big West Conference Second Team. Throughout the year, Lizzie committed just four errors in 179 defensive chances, leading the Tigers to the sixth best fielding percentage in the nation at .978. At the plate, Hagen hit .263 with eight doubles, three triples (second on the team) and three home runs. Her three homeruns gives her 10 for her career, tying her for eighth all-time in program history. In addition, she drove in 18 RBIs and was 4-for-6 in stolen base attempts. Hagen's flare for the dramatic led the Tigers to a 2-0 shutout of Kansas on Feb. 26 as she lifted a two out double in a scoreless game to score both runs for Pacific. Her finest game came against Sacramento State on Mar. 26 as Lizzie went 2-for-3 knocking in a season-high four RBI, matching her career-best, against the Hornets. 2005 (Sophomore): Pacific's incumbent second baseman for her first two seasons, Hagen was one of three Tigers to start in all 55 games for Pacific in 2005. Lizzie showed a touch of power in her second season, finishing the year with five home runs, second most on the team behind her right side infield partner, first baseman Jennifer Curtier. In addition to five home runs, Hagen posted five doubles and two triples while hitting .227 and driving in 18 at the plate. Hagen went 4-for-10 with two RBI, a double and a home run at the Worth Invitational on Mar. 4-6, including a 2-for-3 performance against No. 18 Oregon State. Lizzie's best single-game performance of the season came in Pacific's 15-2 route of Rhode Island on Mar. 16 when she went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and four RBI. 2004 (Freshman): Hagen competed in 57 of Pacific's 59 games as a freshman, starting 56 of those contests. She recorded a .234 batting average with 29 runs scored, 11 doubles, one triple, two home runs, 16 RBI, and three stolen bases in 145 at bats. Lizzie belted her first career intercollegiate home run as Pacific completed a perfect 5-0 Baylor Getterman Classic with a 4-0 victory over Wichita State on Feb. 8. She was 5-for-13 (.385) at the Stanford Invitational (Feb. 13-15) with a home run, two RBI, and one stolen base. Lizzie was 2-for-5 with two doubles, one run scored, and one RBI in the Tigers' doubleheader split against Virginia on Mar. 10. She went 7-for-11 (.636) with two doubles, one triple, four runs scored, and five RBI in Pacific's three-game series sweep of UC Riverside (May 14-15), earning Big West Conference Player of the Week honors on May 17. High School: Hagen attended Rosary High School, where she was a two-sport letterwinner in softball and tennis. A four-year letterwinner in softball as a shortstop, she earned all-league honors each of her four years, including first team selections her final three seasons. Lizzie was selected to the Orange County Register All-County Second Team and the All-C.I.F. First Team as a junior, after batting .418 for the season. She became the first player to hit a home run over the fence of the Rosary HS field and completed the cycle by recording a single, double, and triple in the same game. At the club level, Hagen participated for the Smoke (aka Gordon's Panthers) 18U Gold club program. Personal: Elizabeth Hagen was born in Tustin, Calif. She is the daughter of Richard and Barbara Hagen and has two older brothers. Lizzie is an education major in her fourth year at Pacific.
