2007 (Junior): A platoon outfielder and top pinch-runner, Sandelin saw action in 30 games for the Tigers including eight starts in her junior season. On the base paths, Lauren scored 15 runs for Pacific while at the plate she hit .500 going 4-for-8 on the year. Despite the limited opportunities, Sandelin made the most of her opportunities as she drove in three runs on the year with her four hits. Against Howard in the NCAA Regional Tournament, Lauren went 1-for-1 with one RBI and one run scored as the Tigers eliminated the Bison from the tournament with a 13-0 win on May 19.
2006 (Sophomore): In her second season at Pacific, Sandelin saw action in 32 contests, playing primarily as the Tigers' top runner off the bench. At the plate, Lauren hit .125 (1-for-8) picking up her lone hit as she went 1-for-2 against Long Island on Feb. 25 at the Palm Springs Classic. On the base paths, Sandelin scored nine runs and stole one of two bases for the Tigers.
2005 (Freshman): Sandelin saw action in 49 games for the Tigers, starting 29 contests. Primarily an outfielder for the Tigers, Lauren made 12 relief appearances for Pacific in the circle in 2005. Offensively, Lauren batted .200 with 10 hits, including two doubles and one home run. She drove in six runs on the season. In addition, Sandelin was a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts. On Feb. 26, against Mississippi State at the Palms Springs Classic, Sandelin belted her first collegiate home run to give the Tigers the lead and eventually the victory at 5-4. Sandelin finished the game 2-for-2 with two RBI, a home run and a double. In the circle, Sandelin finished the year with a 1-3 record and a 5.63 ERA in 27.1 innings pitched. She picked up her first collegiate win on Mar. 16 as she pitched the Tigers past Rhode Island, 15-2.
High School: Sandelin is a 2004 graduate of Sedro-Woolley High School in Sedro-Woolley, Wash. A varsity letterwinner for the Cubs in both softball and basketball, she led her team to a third place state finish as a sophomore in 2002 and a fifth place state finish as a junior in 2003. Individually, Lauren received All-North West League honors each of her seasons, including a first team selection as a shortstop in 2002. Academically, she is a National Honor Society inductee and graduated in the top five percent of her class. At the club level, Sandelin most recently competed for the Washington LadyHawks club program, leading her team to a 17th place finish at the 2003 ASA Gold Nationals.
Personal: Lauren Sandelin was born in Everett, Wash. She is the daughter of Larry and CeCe Sandelin and has one younger brother, Ethan. Lauren is a business administration major in her fourth year at Pacific.
