2006-07 (Junior): Jardine led the Tigers' squad with top times in both the 100 Breast (1:03.23) and the 200 Breast (2:18.63) events. Ziada's 100 Breast time was the fastest mark in the Big West Conference last season, helping her collect a second place finish in the event at the Pacific Invitational on Oct. 20. Jardine's season best 200 Breast time was good enough for second place in a meet against Cal Poly and UC Davis and good enough for fourth on the all time Pacific school list. Ziada also posted a 200 IM time of 2:07.06 at the Big West Championships.
2005-06 (Sophomore): In her second year with the Tigers, Jardine placed fourth in the 100 Breast and ninth in the 200 Breast at the Big West Championships. Her time in the 100 Breast (1:04.52) was the fastest time for team on the season and her time in the 200 Breast (2:21.38) was the third fastest time for the team on the year. She also competed in the 200 IM (2:08.99) throughout the season.
2004-05 (Freshman): Jardine had a strong freshman campaign for the Tigers, etching her name in the record books in two events. In early season action at the UNLV Invite, Zaida set the second fastest time in school history in the 100 Breast, swimming 1:02.90 and followed it up with the seventh best time in school history in the 200 Breast (2:19.71). Later, at the Big West Championships, Ziada finished second in the 100 Breast (1:03.74) and swam on the Tigers' school record setting 200 Medley Relay team (1:43.22). Jardine qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 100 Breast, and went on to finish tied for 43rd.
High School: Ziada attended Reddam House College in Cape Town, South Africa, where she lettered in water polo and swimming. She has been a national team member the past seven years and was a 50 meter Breast title holder in 2002-03. Ziada represented South Africa in the FINA World Swimming Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2001. There, she placed 16th in the semifinals in the 50 meter Breast with a time of 32.77.
Personal:: Ziada Jardine was born in Cape Town, South Africa, and is the daughter of Armien and Fay Jardine. Ziada has three siblings, Shahauz, Faik, Zahid. Ziada is majoring in sports medicine in her fourth year at Pacific
