At Pacific In 2003-04, Lyndsay had one of the finest seasons ever as a Pacific swimmer. She set three school records in the 50 Free (22.90), 100 Free (49.94), and 800 Free Relay (7:19.00), as well as a tie as part of the 200 Free Relay team (1:31.73). All four records were set at the Texas Invitational, Dec. 4-6. She was also apart of the 200 and 400 Medley Relay teams that had season best times at the Texas Invitational. She picked up individual championships in the 100 and 200 Free at the Big West Championships. On top of her record season, McNamee again qualified for the NCAA Championships, earning her All-American status. In her individual races at the NCAAs, Lyndsay picked up 35th (100 Free prelims), 47th (50 Free prelims), and 59th (200 Free prelims). She was also part of 200 Free Relay and 800 Relay teams that finished 16th and 20th... During the 2002-03 season, McNamee earned her second trip to the NCAA Championships. She also had season best times at the Big West Championships in the 50 Free (23.18), 100 Free (50.25), and 200 Free (1:52.74). In 2001-02, McNamee finished her first season at Pacific with a trip to the NCAA Championships, competing on the 200 and 400 Medley Relay teams. Lyndsay also started rewriting Tiger record books in her first season as she ranked second in the 50 Free (23:34) and sixth in the 100 Free (51.23). High School Lyndsay attended Lincoln High School, where she earned a combined 10 letters in swimming, basketball and water polo. McNamee led her team to four consecutive section titles in swimming. An all-around athlete, Lyndsay also received All-San Joaquin Athletic Association honors in both water polo and basketball. Personal Lyndsay McNamee was born on Sept. 30, 1983 and is the daughter of John and Linda McNamee. Lyndsay is a sports science major in her fourth year at Pacific. |
