2004-05: Radecke earned Co-Big West Female Athlete of the Year honors after winning the 500 Free and 1000 Free events at the Big West Championships. She recorded season best times during the meet in both events, swimming 4:52.38 in the 500 Free and 10:04.04 in the 1000 Free. 2003-04: Jennifer had an outstanding second year at Pacific, 2003-04, setting a school record in the 1000 Free (9:59.07) at the Big West Championships. She was also part of the 800 Free Relay team that set a school record with a time of 7:19.00. She moved into second place in school history in the 500 Free with a career best time of 4:05.57 (tops on the team in 2003-04). Radecke showed off her versatility, swimming in the 200 Fly, 100 Free, 200 Free, and 200 IM during the 2003-04 season. 2002-03: In her first season at Pacific, Radecke added depth to the Free and Fly events. She had her best times in the 200 Fly (2:06.51) and 500 Free (4:59.65) at the Big West Conference Championships as Pacific repeated as conference champions. High School: Jennifer attended St. Joseph Notre Dame High School in Alameda, Calif., where she was her school's salutatorian and set school records in eight different events. She was named all-league for four years, and also received the U.S. Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award for 2002. Personal: Jennifer Radecke was born in Oakland, Calif., and is the daugher of Linda and Robert Radecke. Her parents both swam for Cal State Hayward. Jennifer is majoring in pre-pharmacy in her fourth year at Pacific and plans on becoming a pharmacist. |
