Ja-Neil Bragg Receives National Collegiate Swimmer of the Week Honors

Somers, Wisc. - After winning three individual events in a dual meet against San Jose State University this past weekend, junior Ja-Neil Bragg (Manteca, Calif.) has been named the National Collegiate Swimmer of the Week for the week of Dec. 4 - Dec. 10.

Bragg led the way for the Tigers in their 136-125 victory over San Jose State this weekend by winning the 1000 Free (10:22.85), the 200 Back (2:06:26), and the 200 IM (2:06.86) in the meet. She also swam a leg of the Tigers' relay team that took first in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:47.67.

The National Collegiate Swimmer of the Week is selected by a panel of collegiate coaches. The swimmers are nominated each week by coaches, sports information directors, conference representatives and CollegeSwimming.com staffers.

Bragg and the Tigers will be back in action when the men and women take on Cal State University Bakersfield in Bakersfield, Calif. on Jan. 13 at 1:00 p.m.
