Spring 2008 (Freshman):
In the second half of her first year with the Tigers, Nezhura anchored the squad and led all players with an 11-8 individual record from three positions. She performed the best from the No. 3 spot with a 5-3 record, finished at 5-5 from the fourth position and won her sole match at No. 5, with a 1-0 record. In doubles play, Kateryna partnered with teammate Svenja Arens as the duo completed the season with a 3-5 record, 2-3 from the No. 1 position and 1-2 in second. During the Tigers' first match of the year, Nezhura was the only singles player to earn a victory for Pacific, when she won her match against an opponent from No. 43 UNLV, 4-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-8) on Jan. 25. Her 16-13 overall record for the 2007-08 season was the highest on the team.
Fall 2007 (Freshman):
In her first tournament season as a Tiger, Kateryna compiled a .500 record going 5-5 in individual play. Nezhura had a good showing at the Bulldog classic in Fresno when after winning four of five matches during the first two days of the tournament, Nezhura lost the first set of her semi-final match with Santa Clara's Myra Davoudi by a 6-3 score. Following the set, Nezhura withdrew from the match due to injury. In doubles play, Kateryna split time partnering with Clara Schuhmacher and Svenja Arens recording a combine 3-5 record.
High School:
Kateryna came to Pacific from Gymnasium 56 in Kiev, Ukraine, where she graduated in 2006.
Personal:
Kateryna Nezhura is daughter of Vadim and Ninel Nezhura. She has one sibling, Daniel (3). In her second year at Pacific, Kateryna is business administration major. In her free time Kateryna enjoys singing and listening to music.
