Fall 2008 (Senior): Jolanta was 4-5 as a singles player in three fall tournaments, while her and teammate Sasha Fisher posted a 3-4 record in doubles competition. The highlight of Twaroska's singles play in the fall came in the Wilson/ITA Northwest Regional Championships as Jolanta posted back-to-back victories over Stefanie Doolittle of Portland (6-2, 3-6, 6-4) and No. 76 Abilgail Olivier (6-4, 6-4) of Fresno State. Twarowska and Fisher defeated No. 40 Sacramento State's Milica Zivanovic and Gayane Sarkisian, 8-3, at the Wilson/ITA Northwest Regionals in the opening round. Spring 2008 (Junior): Jolanta finished the spring season at the No. 1 position with a 7-13 mark to bring her 2007-08 yearly record to 12-19. Because of her individual performance throughout the year Jolanta was named to the 2008 Big West All-Conference Second Team, her second all-conference selection since joining the Tigers in 2006. Twarowska partnered with Olga Gumenyuk for a 6-8 record during part of the season and spent the rest of the time paired up with Sasha Fisher to finish 3-3 in doubles play. With Gumenyuk as a partner, Jolanta received a 2008 Big West All-Conference honorable mention in doubles play. Fall 2007 (Junior): Twarowska compiled a 5-6 singles record in the tournament season. She advanced to the third round of the ITA Northwest Regional Championships on Oct. 20, before eventually falling to Stanford's No. 4 Jessica Nguyen. In doubles competition, Jolanta paired wtih Olga Gumenyuk and the duo went 4-5. Spring 2007 (Sophomore): Jolanta earned honorable mention singles honors after posting a 7-12 mark, and playing some of her best tennis to close the season. At the Big West Championships, Jolanta defeated Cal State Northridge's Kanykey Koichumanova, ending the first team All-Big West selection's and 13-match winning steak. Fall 2006 (Sophomore): Jolanta collected a 4-4 singles record during the fall campaign. Twarowska posted a 3-5 doubles mark, including a 2-3 mark with partner Sasha Fisher. Spring 2006 (Freshman): Twarowska tallied a 9-8 singles mark for the Tigers at the top three singles position. She was 1-1 at No. 1 singles, 1-2 at No. 2 singles, and 7-5 at her main No. 3 singles position. Jolanta posted a 6-11 record at No. 1 singles with partners Vana Mrazovic and Carla Tamborini. Fall 2005 (Freshman): Jolanta was 3-3 in the fall 2005 tournament season as a singles player. She posted a combined 3-4 record in doubles competition with three different partners. High School: Twarowska graduated from Kreisgymnasium Halle in Hamburg, Germany in 2005. Personal: Jolanta Twarowska is the daughter of Krzysztof and Danuta Twarowska. She has two siblings, Joanna and Jacell. In her fourth year at Pacific, Jolanta is a business major. |
