
Tigers Pick Up Six Wins in Second Day of Saint Mary's Invitational

Moraga, Calif. - Led by a charge into the quarterfinals of the White ITA Singles bracket from junior Svenja Arens (Bensberg, Germany) the Pacific women's tennis team collected a combined six victories on the second day of action at the Saint Mary's Invitational on Saturday, October 11 Arens picked up a 6-4, 6-4 win over Washington's Alksndra Krsljanin in the round of 16 within the White ITA Bracket. In the ensuing round, Svenja was defeated by Marah Calvo of the tournament host, Saint Mary's, 6-3, 6-2. Junior Sasha Fisher (Southampton, Bermuda) moved into the semifinals of the Blue ITA Bracket with a 7-5, 6-0 win over San Jose State's Anna Guzman. The Tigers will conclude play at the Saint Mary's Invitational on Sunday, Oct. 12 in Moraga, Calif.
