Irvine, Calif. - The Big West Conference announced that Pacific Junior Jolanta Twarowska (Hamburg, Germany) was selected to the 2008 Big West All-Conference Second Team. Twarowska compiled a 7-13 record this spring and an overall 12-19 record on the year collecting her second all-conference selection since joining the Tigers in 2006.

Twarowska also received 2008 Big West All-Conference honorable mention accolades for her doubles performance with freshman teammate Olga Gumenyuk (Kiev, Ukraine). The duo paired up and compiled an overall 12-19 record during the 2007-08 campaign including a 4-8 record at the number one position and going undefeated at number two doubles.

Also earning honors for her 2008 performances for the Tigers was sophomore Svenja Arens (Bensberg, Germany) who was selected to the 2008 Big West All-Conference honorable mention. Arens finished the year with an overall 18-15 record in singles competition during her sophomore stint including a perfect 1-0 at the number one position during the spring. Svenja had previously earned honorable mention honors in doubles with partner Mrazovic in her freshman year.
