Corbett graduated from Mother McAuley High School in 2006. She helped lead the Mighty Macs to a combined 81-8 record in her final two seasons. Corbett and the Mighty Macs captured the 2004 Illinois State Championship. Following her senior season, Corbett was named to the IHSA All-State First Team, while she earned All-State Second Team after her junior season. In both 2004 and 2005, Kate earned a spot on the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times and the Daily Southtown All-Area Teams. As a senior, Corbett led the Mighty Macs with 401 kills, while she recorded 379 kills in 2004. In her final two seaons at Mother McAuley, Kate was named to four All-Tournament teams.

Personal:

Katherine Corbett is the daughter of Thomas and Susan Corbett. She has one older brother, Tom (24). In her first year at Pacific, Kate plans to pursue a sports science major.

Wade on Corbett:

Kate is a tough kid that gives us some depth at the outside hitter position. She needs to develop her all-around game to contribute consistently.
