Pacific (2008)

Virginia McConnell comes back to Pacific after graduating in 2008, to help head coach Megan Thomson as a graduate assistant coach.

Starting out her career in 2004 with the Tigers, McConnell recorded a team-high 37 goals in 34 games, for one of the best freshman performances in Tiger history. Virginia tossed in 26 goals as a sophomore in 2005, but was sidelined by a shoulder injury and surgery during the 2006 season. McConnell was granted a medical redshirt, allowing her to rebound nicely after breakout freshman and sophomore campaigns.

After the surgery, Virginia scored 44 goals in a single season with Pacific, ranking third on the team for goals scored during the 2007 season. Last season, McConnell concluded a stellar career with 30 goals, giving her 137 career goals at Pacific and placing her in the top five scorers in school history.

Though she was born in Raleigh, N.C., Virginia attended John McCrae High School in Ottawa, Ontario, where she participated on the women's Ottawa Titan water polo club.

A graduate student, McConnell is pursuing her MBA at Pacific.
