2008 (Sophomore):

During her second full year with the Tigers, Jessica put forth an impressive effort both in athletics and academics. The sophomore saw time in all 31 contests and was one of only six players to reach double digits in goals with 13. She was also one of eight returning Tigers to earn the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches All-American Academic Award.

2007 (Freshman):

As a freshman, Safir saw action in each of Pacific's 30 games, scoring a total of five goals from the driver position for the Tigers. Jessica scored two goals in Pacific's 14-7 win over Occidental on Mar. 4 and recorded three single-goal contests for the Tigers throughout the remainder of the season.

High School:

Jessica attended Los Gatos High School in Los Gatos, Calif., where she led her team to an undefeated Santa Clara Valley Athletic League Championship in 2005. She received all-league honors in 2003, 2004 and 2005 and she was her team's MVP as a junior and a senior. In addition to earning three varsity letters in water polo, Jessica also earned four varsity letters in swimming.

Personal:

Jessica Safir was born in Los Gatos, Calif., and is the daughter of David and Carole Safir. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, shopping and listening to music. In her third year at Pacific, Jessica is a business major with a minor in communications.
