2004 (Freshman):

Roxanne gained great experience in her first year with Pacific in the cage. She played backup to senior Danielle Sartori, playing in 13 games including one start. In that one start, Tursi had a career-high five saves as Pacific defeated Wagner 10-8 on Feb. 22. Overall, she finished with 26 saves in her 13 games, good for an average of 2.1 saves a game.

High School:

Roxanne went to Castilleja High School in Palo Alto, Calif., where she played water polo, basketball, and swimming. Roxanne was a four year letterwinner in water polo. In her senior year, she was named the captain of the water polo team. During the 2002-03 season, Tursi was named to the all-league 1st team and voted as most inspirational on her team. Tursi also set the school record for a goalie with more than 200 saves in a season. Her pervious season, 2001-02, Roxanne was named to the all-league 2nd team. In the classroom, Tursi was honored with the Spirit of `76 award. From 1998-2003, Roxanne was part of the Stanford water polo club.

Personal:

Roxanne Tursi was born on July 21, 1985 in Redwood City, Calif. and is the daughter of Ande Tursi and Rhoda Franck. Both her mother and father were former All-Americans in high school, playing football, basketball, baseball, and swimming. In her second year at Pacific, Roxanne is majoring in sociology.
