Tigers Fall to No. 19 UC San Diego at Arizona State Invitational, 10-5

Tempe, Ariz. - The Pacific women's water polo game lost their third straight game at the Arizona State Invitational on Mar. 30 when they opened up day two with a 10-5 loss to No. 19 UC San Diego. With the loss, the Tigers fell to 4-20 on the year, while the Tritons advanced their overall record to 14-13 with the win.

Leading the Tigers in scoring in the loss was senior Virginia McConnell (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada). McConnell scored two goals in the second quarter and one more in the fourth as her total of three goals was a game high. Kellie Fletcher (Roseville, Calif.) and Meghan Connor (Hinsdale, Ill.) each scored once in the contest as well. Jocelyn Gray (Strathmore, Alberta, Canada) was in goal for the Tigers and recorded eight saves.

The Tigers final game of the Arizona State Invitational will be played this afternoon at 1:00 p.m. against Cal State San Bernardino at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center in Tempe, Ariz.
