
Kate Casey Earns Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship

Stockton, Calif. - In August, junior goalie Kate Casey (Lodi, Calif.) of the women's water polo team was bestowed a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship to pursue a program of study in Argentina over the course of six months in the fall of 2009. During the 2008 season, Casey finished the year as the top returning goalie for the 2009 spring season after notching 31 saves while only allowing 28 goals in six outings as a sophomore. A native of Stockton, Calif., Casey is an international studies and global relations major.
Rotary International is the world's largest privately funded international scholarship program, designed to further global understanding between peoples of diverse cultures and countries. The organization has more than 1.2 million volunteers.
