High School:

Alyssa attended Santa Monica High School in Santa Monica, Calif. where she ran cross country and track, earning varsity letters in both. In 2004, she was a CIF Southern Section Championships qualifier in cross country. As a senior, she received the centennial medal for academic achievements in the classroom.

Personal:

Alyssa Tejeda was born in Santa Monica, Calif. and is the daughter of Manuel and Maria Tejeda. She has three siblings, Lorena (32), Karina (29), and Lucy (20). In her spare time she enjoys rollerblading, riding her bike at the beach, and painting. In her first year at Pacific she plans to major in speech language pathology. She eventually hopes to help young children with speech impairments.
