
2008-2009 Cross Country Schedule Released

Stockton, Calif.-The Pacific women's cross country team and head coach Greg Rhines announced the release of the 2008-2009 scheduled for the cross country season. The Tigers will compete in six meets total, including the Big West Championships and the NCAA Regionals. Pacific will start off the year with the Mills Invitational held in Oakland, Calif. at 10:30am on Sept. 13th. The Stanford Invitational is next on Sept. 27th, where the Tigers are coming off of a 22nd place finish overall, against a strong field of competition. On October 4th, the Tigers head to Davis to take part in the Doc Adams Invitational, then close out the regular season with the San Francisco State Invitational at Golden Gate Park on Oct. 10th. Pacific, placed seventh in the tournament last year. The Big West Championships will take place Nov. 1st at UC Riverside. Last year Pacific finished eighth at the Big West Championships, finishing ahead of a Big West Conference opponent for the first time at the event. With a strong senior class, and a solid group of underclassmen, the Tigers should look to turn some heads in the Big West this season.
