
Mullen Paces The Field At The 2006 General Mills 5k
Sept. 23, 2006 Stockton, Calif. - With an off week from competition, the Pacific women's cross country team participated in the local 2006 General Mills 5k at Cal State Stanislaus on Saturday, September 23. Lead by sophomore Meghan Mullen's (South San Francisco, Calif.) top finish at 17:51.7, the Tigers finished in the top-3 spots of the race. Behind Mullen, sophomore Micaela Klaus (Peru, NY) and junior Francesca Au (Concord, Calif.) finished in second and third, respectively, with times of 18:09.0 and 18:43.9. Additionally, freshman Maria Elena Ramirez (Sacramento, Calif.) finished in eighth place with a time of 20:39.0 while sophomore Rachel Ponce (Bakersfield, Calif.) came in with a time of 20:56.1 to finish in 10th. The Tigers return to collegiate action on Saturday, September 30, as they take part in the Stanford Invitational hosted by Stanford University. The race begins at 5:00 pm.
